8:18am: The fields are wet but playable. It is drizzling, but not hard. It is cold, but not freezing. We are still playing today! Please dress your children warm and check back here before you leave in case anything has changed.
5pm, exactly: There is a hurricane in Cheverly right now. Thunder, lightning, cats hiding in the basement. We will regroup and hopefully the fields will dry out by Saturday.
Jason just checked the fields and they are simply not draining. There appears to be nowhere for the water to go. I say we send it down to Route 50 and let the cars deal with it, but it's not up to me. We are going to have to cancel games again today and hope that we'll be able to get a full week in this coming week. When it should be sunny. Or else. This is why soccer should be played on concrete.
The swamp has yet to be drained. Mini-Kickers and Kickers practices/games scheduled for 9/25/18 have been cancelled. We are sorry for the inconvenience, though some would argue that playing with those field conditions would be the inconvenience. Games will hopefully resume as scheduled this Saturday.

Program Goal & Overview
The goal of Mini soccer is to give young, beginner players a chance to have fun and learn the game in a low-pressure environment that emphasizes building confidence and knowledge of the game through lots of playing time. We want to promote maximum touches on the ball, so the teams and field will be kept small as recommended by the US Soccer Federation's best practices guide.
