Welcome to the 2025 CBGC Baseball Season!

Important dates for the baseball season:
- Friday, 3/28 – Registration CLOSES
- Saturday, 3/29 – Evaluations (weather permitting)
- Saturday, 4/5 – Team Practices begin (weather permitting)
- Saturday, 4/19 – Games begin (tentative)
- Saturday, 6/21 – Final day of season
Evaluations will be split up according to age. Note that we consider your child's age to be the age they will be on May 1st, 2025. There will be no evaluations for 4 and 5 year olds, they will be placed on tee ball teams automatically. 6 year olds will be evaluated on whether they should be placed in Tee Ball or Coach Pitch.
Saturday March 29th @ Euclid Park (please note the change in venue)
- 10am – 11am: All Six year olds (Birthdates between May 1st, 2018 and April 30th, 2019)
- 11:30am – 1:00pm: All 7 and 8 year olds (Birthdates between May 1st, 2016 and April 30th, 2018)
- 1:00pm – 2:30pm: All 9 and 10 year olds (Birthdates between May 1st, 2014 and April 30th, 2016)
- All evaluations for 12u have been cancelled (Birthdates between May 1st, 2012 and April 30th, 2014)

We anticipate having 4 divisions as follows (subject to having enough players in each age group). Each team will practice once during the week and games are generally every Saturday as well as some weeknights.
- Tee Ball (4-6 year olds): Developmental league, used to teach the basics of baseball
- Coach Pitch (6-8 year olds): Developmental league, as more concepts of baseball are taught
- 10u Kid Pitch: Teams practice in Cheverly and play in the Bowie Rec League. Games are in Cheverly or Bowie
- 12u Kid Pitch: Teams practice in Cheverly and play in the Bowie Rec League. Games are in Cheverly or Bowie
- FEES AND UNIFORMS
$85*
*Fees include a jersey and hat for all levels. Kid Pitch League players MUST purchase their own gray baseball uniform pants prior to the first game. Cleats are highly encouraged for all players (they must be rubber/plastic spikes, no metal spikes allowed).
Tee Ball and Coach Pitch players are not required to purchase baseball uniform pants, but are of course welcome to. Coach Pitch players MUST wear long pants, either sweatpants or uniform pants. NO SHORTS ARE ALLOWED. For tee ball, long pants are highly encouraged, preferably no shorts, for player safety.
Players must purchase and bring their own gloves/mitts. Helmets and bats are provided by CBGC (but players are welcome to purchase/bring their own). All bats must be stamped as "USA Baseball" which certifies they meet current safety requirements. Any bats lacking this designation will NOT be allowed to be used in practices or games.
- COACHES
We are an all-volunteer organization. We need volunteers to serve as head coaches, assistant coaches, and umpires. You do not need to be a baseball expert to coach at any level of our program. Any and all parent involvement is greatly appreciated. If you are interested and available, please let us know by clicking on the appropriate boxes when registering your child. Also, if you would like to coach, it is important that you attend evaluations so you can plan accordingly for the draft. All coaches will receive a 50% rebate for their registration at the conclusion of the season.

- FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
CBGC does not want any child to be prevented from playing sports due to financial hardship. Financial assistance is available, please contact the Athletic Director for more information. All requests are kept confidential.
