Important Dates for the Baseball Season

  • Wednesday, 3/25 – Registration CLOSES
    NEW THIS YEAR: If you miss the registration deadline and we are still able to fit onto you a team, you will be charged a $25 late fee.
  • Saturday, 3/28 – Evaluations (weather permitting)
  • Monday, 4/6 – Practices begin
  • Saturday, 4/18 – Games begin (tentative)
  • Saturday, 6/20 – Final day of season

Evaluations will be split up according to age. We consider your child's age to be the age they will be on May 1st, 2026. There will be no evaluations for 4 and 5 year olds; they will be placed on Tee Ball teams automatically. Six year olds will be evaluated to determine placement in Tee Ball or Coach Pitch.

Saturday, March 28th @ Euclid Park

  • 10:00am – 11:00am: All Six year olds (Birthdates between May 1st, 2019 and April 30th, 2020)
  • 11:30am – 1:00pm: All 7 and 8 year olds (Birthdates between May 1st, 2017 and April 30th, 2019)
  • 1:00pm – 2:30pm: All 9 and 10 year olds (Birthdates between May 1st, 2015 and April 30th, 2017)
  • 2:30pm – 4:00pm: All 11 through 14 year olds (Birthdates between May 1st, 2011 and April 30th, 2015)

If you need a baseball mitt before purchasing a new one, please email Tom. We have many old, broken-in mitts that have been left on the field over the years and would love to give them new homes.

Divisions (Subject to Enrollment)

Each team will practice once during the week. Games are generally every Saturday as well as some weeknights.

  • Tee Ball (4–6 year olds): Developmental league focused on teaching the basics of baseball.
  • Coach Pitch (6–8 year olds): Developmental league introducing additional baseball concepts.
  • 10u Kid Pitch: Teams practice in Cheverly and play in the Bowie Rec League. Games are in Cheverly or Bowie.
  • 14u Kid Pitch: Teams practice in Cheverly and play in the Bowie Rec League. Games are in Cheverly or Bowie.

I. Fees and Uniforms

$85*

*Fees include a jersey and hat for all levels. Kid Pitch League players MUST purchase their own gray baseball uniform pants prior to the first game. Cleats are highly encouraged for all players (rubber/plastic spikes only — no metal spikes allowed).

Tee Ball and Coach Pitch players are not required to purchase baseball uniform pants but are welcome to do so. Coach Pitch players MUST wear long pants (either sweatpants or uniform pants). NO SHORTS ARE ALLOWED. For tee ball player safety, long pants are highly encouraged.

Players must purchase and bring their own gloves/mitts. Helmets and bats are provided by CBGC (players may bring their own). All bats must be stamped as "USA Baseball" to certify they meet current safety requirements. Any bats lacking this designation will NOT be allowed in practices or games.

II. Coaches

We are an all-volunteer organization and need volunteers to serve as head coaches, assistant coaches, and umpires. You do not need to be a baseball expert to coach at any level of our program. Parent involvement is greatly appreciated.

If you are interested and available, please indicate this when registering your child. If you would like to coach, it is important to attend evaluations so you can plan accordingly for the draft. All coaches will receive a 50% rebate of their registration fee at the conclusion of the season.

III. Financial Assistance
