2026 SOCCER SEASON DETAILS

SOCCER REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!

The Cheverly Boys & Girls Club (CBGC) is offering soccer leagues for the 2026 season!

CBGC soccer is for children ages 4-13 years-old and is played in the Fall, between August and November. Children are divided into age groups:

• 4yr
• 6U (5 and 6-year-olds)
• 9U (7, 8, and 9-year-olds)
• 13U (10, 11, 12, and 13-year-olds)

Players must register and pay the registration fee before they can participate in any CBGC Soccer activities including practices, games, and evaluations.

Participants can only play on one team.

All teams normally practice once during the week and games are played on Saturday mornings only for 4yr, while 6U, 9U and 13U may play during the week in the middle to late portion of the season. All games are played at the Boyd Park, Cheverly Town Park, or Euclid Park. Practices are at these locations, too, or where a team’s coach designates.

 

SCHEDULE

Fri., July 3 - Registration opens –

Sat., Aug. 1 – REGISTRATION CLOSES

Sat., Aug 1 – Evaluations at Euclid Park – non-competitive, drill-based, helps sort teams.

• 9:00 am – 4yr and 6U
• 10:00 am – 9U
• 11:00 am – 13U

Week of Aug. 10 - Practices begin

Sat., Aug. 29 – Games start and run every week thereafter

Sat., Sep. 5 - Labor Day, no games

Sat., Sep. 26 - Cheverly Day, no games

Sat., Oct. 24 – Last week of Games

 

REGISTRATION

We are forgoing a Team Snap waitlist this year as originally planned and instead, if you missed the deadline and want to participate, please contact the soccer commissioner (Matthew.Nies.cbgc@gmail.com). If there are spots for the age group you would like to participate in, we will do our best to accommodate you.

 

TEAMMATE REQUESTS

We encourage new friendships and balanced teams, but buddy requests may be considered for pressing carpool needs. Please email Matt at Matthew.Nies.cbgc@gmail.com by August 1st. Requests are not guaranteed. Siblings in the same league will be placed on the same team unless otherwise requested.

 

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
