We anticipate having 5 “intramural” divisions as follows (though this is subject to change based on registrations). Each team will practice once during the week and games are generally every Saturday:

  • 5U and 7U: Our youngest age groups will play on an 8-foot rim and focus heavily on skill development and introducing the game of basketball.
  • 9U and 11U: Our middle age groups will play on the full size 10-foot rim. This league also focuses heavily on skill development but basketball rules (such as traveling, double dribbles, fouls, etc.) will begin to be more strictly enforced.
  • 14U: Our oldest age group is still for all skill levels, but basketball rules will be strictly enforced.

We are an all-volunteer organization. We need volunteers to serve as head coaches, assistant coaches, and ref. If you are interested and available, please let us know by clicking on the appropriate boxes when registering your child. Also, if you would like to coach, it is important that you attend evaluations so you can plan accordingly for the draft. All coaches will receive a 50% rebate for their registration at the conclusion of the season.

In addition to the above “intramural” divisions, there is also the possibility of fielding county teams. County teams are much more competitive and would travel around the county for games. The formation of a county team is contingent upon enough skilled players of the same age range indicating interest as well as the availability of a coach. Should your child desire to participate in a county team and/or you have interest in coaching a county team, please check the “Interested in county?” box when you register.

If you have any questions, please contact Basketball Commissioner Luke Murry (luke.murry.cbgc@gmail.com).
